Bishop Mkenda Foundation
The community more especially people with disabilities, elderly people, women, youth and children remain to largely extent invisible and effectively excluded from full participation in political, social, economic and cultural activities in their community. Furthermore, there is a growing challenge with increasing unemployment among the community due to lack of essential skills and mentorship. Despite already existing interventions, the challenge continues to prevail which leads to poverty and ignorance. AND WHEREAS, the founders of Bishop Mkenda Foundation have identified the importance of bridging this gap together, by addressing the challenges facing the community education, skills development, vocational training and income generation by applying ‘holistic approach’ in order to restore their hope, dignity and well-being within the community.
